Invisibility Suits

This series places the body in landscape to elicit connections between place, belonging, and displacement. The act of various endurance strategies from running, swallowing water and resisting the tide, to sitting with grief are digitally intervened through the use of a greenscreen suit. In contrast to data-moshing, these interventions are all made by the hand: weaving and sweeping. In this way, they are a manual glitch, connecting the past industries of cotton production to contemporary labor.
